Tense and nervous are probably the two words that best describe how you feel when you are about to face an English presentation, tips are often needed to do so.

1. Pay attention to details

English presentations certainly require more approaches and adaptations than Indonesian language presentations.

One of them, you need to pay attention to presentation details such as location, equipment, and materials that will be presented long before the presentation takes place.

When you know the details well, you’ll be more comfortable and less nervous.

2. Opening sentence

In a presentation using English, the stages in making a presentation are of course very closely considered in as much detail as possible.

Therefore, the basic tips when making an English presentation, it’s a good idea not to forget to use the opening sentence.

The opening sentences that are commonly used when making presentations in English are as follows:

“Good Morning, Thank you for coming to this. An honor to meet you here.”
Assalamualaikum Wr. Wb. I would like to say thank you for coming to my presentation. It’s great to see you all.”
“Good Morning, Ladies and gentlemen. I’m glad to see you all.”

3. Introduce yourself

After delivering the opening sentence, the next presentation tip using English is to introduce yourself.

Literally, this is clearly very important considering that the audience must know who they are going to discuss with.

This self-introduction section applies not only to yourself, but can also be done when you are giving a presentation in a group.

Examples of self-introduction sentences that can be imitated:

5. Purpose and intent of the presentation

After you do the introductions, you can proceed to the next stage, namely explaining the purpose and intent of the presentation.

6. Present the presentation material

7. Make sure data in presentation are easy to understand

If you want to present data in the form of numbers or results of analysis, use graphs or diagrams to make it easier to understand.
